To celebrate the birthday of our CEO and founder, Uncle Bob, Rockathon Records is proud to announce Eat 17 and Guided by Voices - Thank You Very Much for Absolutely Nothing.
Thank You Very Much for Absolutely Nothing is the earliest known video of Guided by Voices. Recorded by Dayton Public Access TV on May 26th 1986, live at the Dayton Riverfest, the "Bandshell Show" is over 40 minutes with 16 songs, featuring Bob (vocals & guitar), Mitch Mitchell (bass), Paul Comstock (guitar & vocals), Peyton Eric (drums). This DVD is limited to 1000 copies and exclusively for sale at Rockathon.
Released at the same time as the EAT 17.
The map image is a Sanborn Fire Insurance map from the Dayton library, they have a web tool from the Library of Congress https://www.loc.gov/maps/?dates=1900-1999&fa=location:ohio%7Clocation:dayton%7Clocation:montgomery+county - pretty much Northridge pre I-75. Titus Ave and Island Park are on there too. The bandshell image on the back is from the 1940s. |
