w/ Stupid Fuckin Hippie, Lincoln Logs
This gig previously listed Appalachian Death Ride as the opener based on gig notes from Bela Koe-Krompecher of Anyway Records. He posted a page from his 1993 planner that lists a show by Appalachian Death Ride w/ Guided by Voices. He says he�s sure it was at Bernie�s in Columbus, Ohio.
Bela then said this in response to a question about the discrepancy between the gig poster and the gig notes in his journal: "I�m guessing ADR couldn�t do it so I asked Lincoln Logs. That sort of stuff happened a lot, I�d have to secure a date at a club and given this was a Friday night Bernie�s would need a draw. At that time ADD was a bigger draw than GBV but I wanted a weekend night, so adr probably couldn�t do it so I scrambled and got Lincoln Logs. Stupid Fuckin Hippie was probably always on the bill. I hope this helps. Going through those calendars I would see shows that ended up very differently than what they were supposed to be." |
