Release notes: The SGT. says "the record with my name on it is for EVERYONE, not just for those who enjoy music."
Original Release date was 7/24/2007 and it was initially pushed back two weeks due to a production error (8/7/2007), but then further delays pushed it to 8/28/2007. On 8/23/2007 Rich T wrote to the Postal Blowfish mailing list: "Production delays on the CD pushed the release date to August 28th"
"Hot Lettuce" (which appears on this album as an instrumental track) was included in the list of Robert Pollard song titles that appeared in Full Court Press Volume 1 in December 1997. A few song titles that ended up on the Robert Pollard solo album Waved Out also appeared in that same list: "Steeple Of Knives", "Showbiz Opera Walrus" and "Caught Waves Again". Full Court Press was billed as "The Official Guided By Voices Fan Club Publication For: Postal Blowfish"
