w/ Johnny Smoke.
CD Release Party. They do play "Salty Salute" twice. Soundcheck songs played: jam, Wished I Was A Giant, Underwater Explosions, Your Name Is Wild.
Setlist corrected: The next to last song of the show is NOT "If We Wait." It is "Chance To Buy An Island," which is a solo Bob performance, with him playing Toby's WAY LOUD/overdriven guitar.
Additional info:
- ex-GBVer Don Thrasher's band, Johnny Smoke, opened for GBV at CST on this gig
- GBV is introduced as "Jellyfish Tapes & Records recording artists, The Eventful Creeps"
- three different times during the show, Bob reads from print-outs of internet ramblings from, I assume, the Postal Blowfish newsgroup (after Pimple Zoo, Motor Away, & Tractor Rape Chain)
- both Mitch & Greg do double-time handclaps on 14 Cheerleader Coldfront
- Mitch seems fairly wound-up on the encore. On the first song, Awful Bliss, he does the harmony vocal with Toby (Bob is off-mic somewhere). On the next two songs he doubles some of Bob's vocals.
