Release notes: The SGT. says "the record with my name on it is for EVERYONE, not just for those who enjoy music."

ROCKATHON RECORDS EXCLUSIVE VINYL VERSION OF THE CIRCUS DEVILS SGT. DISCO

In 2001, Robert Pollard and the brothers Tobias formed Circus Devils and veered off the pop highway and straight into a deep hole, where they mingled with nursery rhyme characters of the future, invisible present-day villains and heroes, and the ghosts of rock-and-roll past. The bands strange journey culminates in the appearance of Sgt. Disco. Circus Devils incorporates a musical alchemy of hard rock and soft rock, ugliness and beauty, tension and ambience, eerie moods, stories, humor, and rock opera theatrics, resulting in a strangely coherent cinematic music experience. Only 500 pressed; 470 FOR SALE.

Vinyl version is a double LP with gatefold sleeve. High quality job!

The CD version of this release is available from Ipecac Records. Rockathon will be the only place you can get the vinyl version.

Original Release date was summer 2007 but it was pushed back a few months due to a few production errors.

Note: detailed album and track credits provided by Todd Tobias.

Rich T wrote on 8/23/2007 to the Postal Blowfish mailing list: "We now have experienced a SECOND production delay on the vinyl and I would say mid-September is a more likely release for the vinyl."

Rich T then wrote on 9/19/2007 to the Postal Blowfish mailing list: "Updating every one to know that the last test pressing was good (1 out of 3 ain't bad!), it's been approved. My GUESS is 7-10 days before I have everything and then I'll start shipping immediately. Unfortunately that means we're probably looking at very beginning of October by the time they start hitting your mailboxes."

Then on 9/28/2007 Rich T wrote to the Postal Blowfish mailing list: "Got word from the vinyl pressing plant that the finish date on the Sgt Disco vinyl will be 10/10. Then the records get shipped to me which will probably take 2-3 days, then I box them up and get them out which will take 3-4 days so......mid to late October for delivery!! It will be worth it. These are going to look so cool!"

Then on 10/16/2007 Rich T wrote to the Postal Blowfish mailing list: "Hooray the stars have finally alligned and any one who has ordered Sgt Disco vinyl from me will have the record shipped the week October 22-26". People then reported receiving them on 10/25/2007.
